The fifth season of The Voice, an American reality talent competition, premiered on November 23, 2017. The series then took a one-month pause before showing a second episode, which was dubbed as the premiere, aired on January 1, 2018. Adam Levine, Alicia Keys, and Blake Shelton returned as coaches. Miley Cyrus debuted as a coach. Carson Daly returned as host.
